notes: Cuban-born Jorge Luis Prats, winner of the 1977 Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud competition in Paris, was forced by family commitments and travel restrictions imposed by the Cuban government to limit the scope of his concertizing activity for some time.  His playing is heroic and more than able, and he is blessed with a poetic temperament.   This is his first recording for Decca, recorded in concert in a new auditorium in Zaragoza, Spain which is both acoustically and visually stunning.
