Houston Ballet artistic director Stanton Welch discusses the self-choreographed double-bill that he’s put together to open the company’s 2012-2013 season. The program features his piece Clear, inspired by the tragic events that took place 11 years ago today, plus his choreographic adaptation of the most heart-breaking story in the operatic repertoire, Puccini’s Madame Butterfly.
